gwenyth paltrow.  i don't really keep up with celebrity news or their fashion since the credit goes to their stylists anyway but her hair and makeup here inspired me (sorry, this photo doesn't really show details).  i love her outfit too.  watching her interviews and her appearances in glee makes me love her even more.

okay, i love colored shorts. but i still need a few more colors to be checked off.

i have a tree by my balcony that when the sun is setting, it gives a pretty glistening effect with the blowing leaves. i promise i wasn't trying to be poetic. but i just really wanted to play with the lighting. it kind of reminded me of how when i was little, i used to imagine how my mom's room looked before she had kids. for some reason i imagined it like it was a music video with her looking out her balcony in a flowy burgandy marble printed dress and a sheer orange curtain blowing in the wind. i have always wanted to "recreate" that. this is far from it but getting there...

i've been really into orange-red, lavender, cream and black together lately.  that's what i concentrated on when i went shopping yesterday and found a super cute pair of orange-red shorts from zara (not this pair i'm wearing here).  i got a couple more solids and found a pair of scalloped hem shorts from h&m - last one and it was in my size!  i'm so excited...and plus my litttle brother finally bought a new lens!  i think i'll wait to show everything through them.

i was finally able to change nail colors from sand tropez to nice is nice...which is really nice :)  it's a pretty pale lavender that looks so good with my orangey reds!

this look reminds me of the 80's.  i think it's the turquoise & black together and the sillhouette.  the touches of gold, the details of the sweater and the vintage fendi clutch, which i'm sure is from the 80's also suggests so.  this skirt offers so much in its print, the draping and the pretty fabric that i paired it with something casual and loose fitting to keep it in its spotlight.

in my efforts to find more solids on my last shopping trip two weeks ago in the city, i of course failed when i ended up with stripes and yet more cream.  i do give myself a bit of credit as pin-stripes are one step closer to being solid.  and at my last stop, i did pick up some solids at zara.  i also found more things i want there at zara...i'm drooling over all their 60's shapes!

dressed up really quick for this shoot, barely put any thought into this look.  just remembered this top i got last year that i barely wore and was in a mood to wear pants.  and it is a total coincedence that the asos model and i are dressed similar!
