in front of a local cuban restaurant, havana sol in another quite frequented sweater of this summer.  it makes sense because of its open crochet knit though.  and plus it hasn't really been hot lately.  i know that's going to change any time now.  as soon as we start wondering where the heck summer went, it comes and slaps us in the face.  ...for a good 2 months.  are you guys ready?  ;)

i got an invitation yesterday to compete to become one of Bloggers Wardrobe's bloggers.  check them out here.  it's a pretty awesome concept.  as one of their bloggers you get to shop for free...yes FREE!  it would definitely be a dream to shop for free.  have you ever had a dream you were shopping and you pick out the cutest things only to wake up and find you don't actually have those clothes and that it was only just a dream?  those have to be some of the most disappointing dreams.

this was taken last tuesday when we celebrated my dad's birthday.  i finally had the time to upload and edit these today.  ...long and busy week!  this has been my favorite outfit to wear the last couple weeks, i try really hard not to wear it everyday.  and this is my go to wall i guess.  we also celebrated my mom's birthday yesterday (pictures to come).  happy birthday to the most amazing parents!   love you!  <3

it was the perfect sunday; a nice dose of truth, love and eh laundry...

oh and shout out to denni or dannie (sorry :), whose boyfriend approached me today at church and told me his girlfriend was a fan of the blog and didn't believe him when he told her he sees me at church.  i have awesome readers :)

this scf drifter blouse is my favorite piece in my closet right now.  i've been treating it like a trophy or something because i've had it for almost three months now and still haven't worn it until a couple days ago when i took these photos.  i'd randomly go in my closet and try it on with different bottoms each time.  i had it custom made to be a little more fitted for me and i asked for the neck line to not be so low.  it's perfect.  i've been meaning to show this outfit since i got these shorts 2 months ago.

feels like it's been a while since my last post.  i've been adjusting to a new schedule and it's hard finding time to shoot.  i did finally meet up with my cousin, bohemianrags yesterday and went to an old naval base.  it was nice to shoot there because it's totally abandoned.  kind of eerie.  it reminded me of the show, lost.

as you may know if you've been following me since the beginning that francoise hardy is one of my favorite fashion icons.  she's been a total inspiration lately from her hair to how she quirks up basics.  i've been moving back and fourth from the 60's then skipping to the 90's the last few weeks.

my new favorite shoes.  love how they can give plain shorts and a t shirt so much more.  wore them shopping today and each time i walked by a floor length mirror i got so excited looking at them.  yes, i am silly ;)
