for the last year or so i've kept a really simple (and greyscale) wardrobe with the exception of denim, camel, a tiny bit of color here and there and even sequins.  it makes dressing up easy but building it, knowing essential pieces is key.  this post features some; a masculine camel coat, a silk tank top and ripped & relaxed denim.  and depending on the occasion or event, i like to make sure it doesn't look overly "comfortable" by adding a sexy and chic pair of shoes.

yay!  finally got some blogging in!  couldn't work with the weather last week.  it was either too hot - triple digits or too windy and gloomy.  so i get either a cranky photographer or pics of me eating my hair. 

 i literally have to stop myself from wearing this blazer everyday.  i've already worn it to church with a short flared zara skirt, to mine and my hubby's anniversary dinner and then with cropped jeans to a meeting yesterday in the city.

it's already thursday and i'm not sure i'm ready for next week - the girls will be back in school! eek!  but they did get the teachers i was hoping for so i'm anticipating another successful year!

thought the scenery needed some flowers so i planted myself there.  i wanted to toughen up these comfy floral pants for the perfect balance.  now everything is the way they should be.

my new favorite shoes.  love how they can give plain shorts and a t shirt so much more.  wore them shopping today and each time i walked by a floor length mirror i got so excited looking at them.  yes, i am silly ;)
