the littlest things are the greatest things.

at the end of the day, what truly makes me happy are the little things. it's my hubby's monday today so we just had quality time at home before he left for work this evening. it was nice to observe the family. it's just the little things that are the most precious. like how the kids interact with each other, how calise, my eldest makes chloe, my second child crack up, and carlos my 1 1/2 y/o boy walks around thinking he's so cool. he walked over to the kitchen where i was cooking, stood there waiting for me to look at him and when i did he nods his head with a serious face and walks away. it's those 'wth' moments i have with the kids that warm my heart lol.

on friday at zara when i was trying some things on, the dressing room attendant totally caught my eye. i wish i had taken a pic of her, she was gorgeous. i told her she was pretty and that she looked like a barbie. she responded, 'really?!' i told her that her face was stunning. seriously, she had such a perfect bone structure...she really did look like a barbie! if you ever go to sf zara, she's a black lady with shorter hair, kind of combed back a little. anyway, i know that made her day...and i was thinking, i wonder if she was having a bad day and if that helped lift her spirits. i wonder if she was able to conquer something that day because she was a bit more confident. and that if that 'something' she had conquered had changed her life...you ever wonder about things like that? how the simple little things you do can really make an impact on someone's life, good or bad?

this is a dress i've been eying for a while that i finally got. love love love it...it's a very simple silhouette but there's so much you can do with it.
