soooo...i bought this top from forever a couple days ago. i took outfit pics yesterday but because it's such a light color i couldn't capture the details. i think it turned out a little better this time...well good enough to post. i saw this top as a dress on my last shopping trip to the city about 2 weeks ago and loved it so when i saw this top version, i was super excited. i also got this nail polish to wear with the top. it's such a pretty blue, it kind of brings out the blue hues on my clutch.

typical tuesday.

...well not really a typical tuesday :) today my two year old boy went pee pee in the potty! twice!! we're so proud of him. we let him run around completely naked and when he felt like going he panicked and didn't know what to do. we directed him to his little potty, we waited a little bit and he went! i know, i really did just blog about my 2 year old going pee but i was afraid for when the time for this would come. i have two girls and potty training for them was fairly easy. i know of boys who had a hard time so i didn't expect mine to do as well. anyway, i didn't have time to do an outfit post. i didn't really have a reason to dress up anyway. i did some serious cleaning today. i woke up and was in a mood to just clean. i cleaned, made breakfast, continued cleaning, picked up my daughter from school, went grocery shopping, cooked dinner, ate, did more cleaning watched a little tv and now i'm blogging. i'm sitting in the bathroom waiting for my son to pee again (lol).

besides this news of potty training and housework, i did have some other exciting things happen today. my photo was chosen as an editor's pick on chictopia and i was browsing through the website and found this, where one of my looks were one of chictopia's best looks for summer 2010. i was also contacted by chictopia informing me that one of my looks are being considered for a launch in some sort of campaign they haven't yet revealed. i can't go into detail about it because first off, i don't have all the details and my look was only being considered and not yet chosen. but even still, i'm really flattered! as a home-maker my life is really just my kids/family and i'm lucky to fit my passion in with everything. so to have that extra fulfillment of receiving back what i put into what i love, it makes me that much happier.

anyway, while watching tv i was doing a little online shopping because i found a couple store credits i completely forgot about. i was having a hard time narrowing my virtual shopping bag down. the weather also makes it hard to choose because i get in the mood for however i'm feeling at the moment. while we're in this cusp between hot and cold weather, my list becomes a jumble of 'wants' and 'needs'. so before i continue to 'checkout' i will sort them out :)

boho heat.

a heat wave is coming by for the next few days and i'm really enjoying mixing fall clothes with the heat. i'm indulging in my floppy hat, halter bodysuit, snake print silk scarf and high waists right now.

i got this blouse from my sister for my birthday. we were shopping together and when we were in line she grabs it from me and pays for it. lol so thank you, sister! i absolutely love it. when i got it i had just bought my fur vest from ON and i was planning to wear them together. i was more in a romantic mood today and it's pretty warm so i nixed the fur vest...maybe next time. but today i was inspired by zac posen's z spoke show where they wore their hair up with loose tendrils framing the face. how pretty would this have been with a long flowy skirt and some circle sunnies?! oooh...or a mid-calf length skirt and brown suede boots...hmmm...

oh yeah, my hubby directed the first shot...i think he did a really good job! ha!

so last month i entered in a contest on elisharon. i always entered in contests wishfully thinking i'd actually win. of course i never had any luck so i kind of entered thinking what the heck. but guess what? i won! she teamed up with wildfell hall vintage to give away not just one cool vintage find but three! check them out if you don't follow them already! sharon is absolutely adorable and super chic!! i'm gonna steal her shoe collection one day...but of course i have to make it all the way there to hawaii first! yes, she's stylish, she has a bad-@ss jc collection and she lives in hawaii...lucky!! and wildfell has some super cute finds! check out their etsy and their blog, vintage seen they have some really cool photos of random people on the streets wearing vintage.

so i wanted to thank sharon and wildfell hall vintage for these cool vintage pieces. a big thank you!!! pieces are adorable!! this is how i styled them...

i wore the pretty floral scarf as a belt and pinned the crystal flower brooch on it and held the metal mesh purse as a clutch. it'll be pretty useful especially in the spring!

and i deserved a little something more after a hectic week so i went to f21 yesterday and got these tops. both my sister and i got the black and brown blouse and we're deciding which of us will wear it to my sons birthday celebration tomorrow. haha but yaay for prizes!! :)
